Deschutes River, Oregon

To get out of the rain, we drove to the other side of the Cascade Mountains to the Warm Springs, Oregon area. We camped at Trout Creek and fished upstream for several miles along the river. We like it so much we returned the following week with our drift boat. The big bugs are salmon flies. The rainbow trout are called “redsides” because of their crimsom stripe. The canyon walls are so high, you can’t see beyond.
